Our London office kicked off the summer with an impressive display of endurance and teamwork, taking on two 5k running events: the highly anticipated City vs. The Wharf and the Standard Chartered City Race respectively. Over 30 Trayport colleagues laced up the competitions.
A highlight of the season saw one of our London teams achieve an outstanding 7th place finish out of 60 competing teams in the fiercely contested City vs. The Wharf race! This impressive achievement wasn’t just a testament to their speed, but also to the collective spirit and encouragement that pushed them forwards. It’s moments like these that showcase the power of working together, both in and out of the office.
Not to be outdone, our Vienna office demonstrated their diverse athletic prowess with a summer packed with challenges. Nine intrepid Trayport colleagues tackled the ultimate test of endurance and skill in a demanding triathlon. From swimming to cycling and running, their commitment and determination was inspiring, reflecting the drive and resilience we see every day in our work.
Later in the season, the Vienna team lit up the night during the Vienna City Night Run, a picturesque 5k race around the iconic Ringstrasse. The glow of the city lights mirrored the radiant smiles and palpable excitement of our participants, further strengthening the bonds within the team and creating unforgettable memories.
Beyond individual and team athletic feats, Trayport proudly rallied behind the women’s football teams of England, Austria, and Germany. Our offices became hubs of excitement, adorned with national colours and buzzing with anticipation as we followed their journeys through the European championships.
The strong support and desire for victory brought our offices closer together! We celebrated every goal, every save, and every moment of brilliant sportsmanship. What a triumph it was for our English Lionesses, who emerged as the glorious Euro winners! To mark this exciting journey, we ran a competition for our employees, offering a chance to win some fantastic prizes, helping to add another layer of fun to our summer of sport.
Summer of Sport 2025 was about so much more than just winning races or cheering for our favourite teams. It was also a reflection of Trayport’s core values. The teamwork displayed on the running tracks and triathlon courses, the encouragement heard on the sidelines, and the excitement in celebrating our football heroes all underline the strong sense of community that exists within the organisation.
