What is a typical day like for you?

Arrive at the office around 9.00-9.15 and have some buttered toast and orange juice. Mmmmm… List out daily tasks, go through all the emails and google hangout messages before stand-ups at 10.15. Business as usual for the rest of the day. This mainly consists of testing the Joule Direct platform (Trayport Backend service), Writing lots of test cases, scripting automated PowerShell script, going through source codes, meetings and presentations.

Any tips for someone joining Trayport?

1. Preparation is the key – Do extra research not only on the technical aspects of your role, but on the company, the culture, anything happening on social networks etc.
2. First impression is everything – make sure that you prepare and project your best self during the interview.
3. Enjoy the process and have fun!

What do you like to do outside of Trayport?

I love playing guitar/drums/piano… etc. Basically any musical instruments. I also enjoy photography – especially animal photography. Sports are fun – I play and watch a lot of sports – mainly tennis, football, and golf.
